Marina Klima Goldberg

I am fortunate to be able to do what I love - help people redefine their environment at home or at work.  I live and work in a great state of New Jersey and as New Jersey interior designer I am privileged to work with best and most dedicated professionals.

Also, I have ready access to tremendous resources offered by New York City and Greater New York interior design centers.   Every project is a journey and every client is a life story. I am honored to be a part of their important decisions about their house, apartment or an office.  Of course, there is a lot that came to me with years of experience as well as travel and observations. Some other techniques I learned academically. But what thrills me is that there is so much to learn every day with every project to drive to the optimum interior design solutions for my clients.

The most important part of my work is to understand my clients' priorities and expectations.  Whether I am working on a project involving senior living properties, such as active adult’s communities, or selecting new furniture for a local New Jersey home I am comfortable and fluent with any decorating style preference, traditional or contemporary. I utilize technology and stay on top of all current applications supporting interior design and architectural industries. This helps my clients when I perform visual presentations in the comfort of their homes when I travel on appointments. Even though my company, Klima Design Group, LLC is located in Central New Jersey, we maintain extensive trade resources library that has interior design products from all over the World. We partner with our reputable trade professionals to deliver quality for each project."

Marina Klima Goldberg, interior designer, allied ASID, CAPS

My education, just like my life and work experience is a spiral full of twists and turns and never ending learning.

I am very proud for the opportunity early in life to be able to obtain Masters of Art degree from a prestigious Mechnikov University, Odessa, Ukraine, where I studied Western Art with focus on English and Linguistics. I was born in Odessa, the city with beautiful architecture and design.  Since I can remember her, design was always a part of my everyday life.

Before and after my Interior Design degree I took numerous classes in interior decorating, both in New Jersey and New York interior design colleges. Also, I studied color theory and classic and contemporary decorative painting from reknown decorative artist, Pierre Finkelstein. I completed a comprehensive program in color theory and decorative finishes from the Finishing School, New York.

My knowledge of furniture construction comes from my experience working as an interior designer for the most respectable and leading furniture manufacturers. My space planning knowledge comes from experience working for K&G Consulting LLC, where I learned commercial building, lighting and space planning for interior design.

I am allied member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). I like to be part of the community and made contributions to many New Jersey interior design community events such as Chairs for Charity initiative by New Jersey chapter of American Society of Interior designers (NJASID), Breast Cancer and fundraisers for local Central New Jersey School PTO. In 2004 I was honored to receive ASID New Jersey President's Award for Dedication to Profession of Interior Design.
